did you extract jibberish 1.1 in a completely different folder than the original, because i think thats all you have to do, then delete the original

The game works fine for me, and its sick!
BUT some times it gives me memmory acces violation but if I just close it then open it again well it works again

rizu... cloase everything in the background. look in the task manager and close shit you dont need.

you have your memory being used by other shit and jibberish is causing a problem when multiple things try and access the memory

^umm yeah i know their are certain programs running for a reason... like explorer.exe... sure its the basic layout of windows but you dont NEED it running while in the game

their is soo much shit that is running when you boot up thats not needed. you just need to know enough info to know what to end.

most definatley...mine was aowkring fine until i got a new hardrive and tranfered all my shit to the new one. Somehow i lost the 3d accelerator program that allows the graphics to come up...i might just redownload it or something to see if it works...cuz i cant live another week without freaking jibberish!!ITS KILLING ME!!!

its obviously something with your computer and ram accessablility. cuz it works on others but not some

d-loc not bein a dick but you don't know what you're talking about. it working on some people's computer and not others means absolutely shit.

jibberish was made with some game authoring program, so I dont know how that translates, but an access violation could be lots of things. generally it means the program tried to access an invalid address, or memory it shouldnt be touching. If a texture didnt load, but the program thought it did, when it tried to access it, that could cause it, for instance.

i could go on, but there's no point. it's not people's computers though.

^uhh yeah dude i do know what im talking about... im the one that first stated all the details about the MAV. it indeed is a programming issue but it is not effected by all. this is because of avanced video cards and they way the go about accessing the memory. depending on how old the software drivers are and what capabilities are available.

jibberish 1 was able to be viewed on my work laptop with a shitty Mobility Radeon (LY) 350 MHz, 16 MB memory. yet it was lagging and choppy it still played.
jibberish 2nd release was unable to be played due to the MAV, since theirs only 16MB of memory on the vid card.

now on my home PC, i have a brand new GeForce FX5900 XT with 128MB DDR/700MHz 256 bit. it plays both fine because it has the accessable memory to play the game on top of running applications that windows needs.

sure its a simple fix in the code and i dont know why he hasnt found out how to fix it but it is IN FACT a problem with both the program and computer.

if it wasnt then how can some play and some not play?

i run an amd 64-bit 3000+, 1024mb of ram, and an ati radeon 9800 pro 128mb....

and i cant run it, so its definatly not the computers, its the exe

yeah so the programming in having a conflict with your video card drivers. on how they access certain blocks.

guys seriously... if it was strictly a programming issue then how are people playing?

think before you type, its a conflit between 2 things, both the program and the memory.

I have an AMD 64 3400+, a gig of ram, and a EVGA geforce 6800GT.

My friend has the exact same setup, and it plays fine on his.
