It has nothing to do with preferences it has to do with how many kids love a band till someone has heard of them (though of course, like proper hipsters they will vehemently deny this fact), then instantly they must be hated. OF being a current prime example.

they've got some seriously good songs. i like the way they tweak the rap formula. there's a lot of real talent in the group and despite their irreverence and juvenile behavior i think they're all pretty smart dudes. they're becoming very successful and not through the usual channels so i've got a lot of respect for that, especially considering i'm older than some of the members of the group.

Meh they would be better if they didn't suck at making beats, the actual rapping is pretty good I guess though. But the whole trying to be offensive as possible just makes them seem like try hards.

Its cool that they are different to most rap groups but it seems to be alot of 15 year olds that think they are "hip" listening to them. Personally the main guys voice is annoying aswell, but they have potential.
