Hello Everyone. In this thread you guys can talk about what DAW you have (basically claim lol), your interface keyboards etc. etc. and hear peoples input on certain hardware/software.

I have Pro Tools 10, an Mbox pro as my audio interface, two Adam Ax5 speakers, a venom keyboard, and a pod x3 live for guitar work.

2 speakers of which i do not know the make/model of (they are my roomates' i am borrowing them), a borrowed alesis q25 midi keyboard and a piece of shit numark mixtrack pro as i am waiting till i get enough money to buy an akai apc40. i also have a 10 year old drumset i play on. i fux with ableton live only. used to use logic to throw mashups together but never really produced anything in there. maybe messed around with ultrabeat once or twice.

i moved down to LA for the fall to do internships and my cousins best friend who lives down there hooked me up with ableton and a lot of plugins/sounds/effects etc. Ive been learning it since last october. he goes to a production school called Icon Collective in LA and he's been teaching me shit that he has learned at that school.

iMac, Logic Studio, m-audio pro interface (or something like that, its not that great), a microkorg, and a few controllers.

I use Massive a lot, because its an awesome synthesizer. Using a lot of the logic stock plugins because they cover just about the full array of shit you need. I'm trying to just stick with those really, but I also really like Ohmicide and LFOtool.

As soon as I get my first pay cheque this summer I'm buying a pair of KRK RP6s. Need to step up my mixing/sound design/everything.

Amadeus that sounds like a killer setup. That Venom looks dope.

right on man, those microkorgs are great. LFO tool has to literally be the most versatile plugin ever created. What's ohmicide do?

and as good as stock plugins are in logic, i would highly suggest delving into the world of either waves plugins and sonalksis. that shit will up your game exponentially if you learn how to utilize them correctly. I have barely just started with waves and my sonalksis crack is fucked (but for some reason free g stereo still works) so i can't really use sonalksis. but so far after barely having gotten into waves, my favorite plugin has been the maserati drum plugin--look that shit up it makes drums crispy as hell.

sounds like you will be able to provide a lot of knowledge to this cult, stoked to have you along.

Ohmicide is a multiband EQ/Compression/Distortion plugin. Really useful for getting those huge spectrum-filling basses. Tons of dubstep/dnb producers using it.

Yeah I really want to start using something other than the stock plugins but I just don't have the time to learn it right now. I actually have the entire waves suite pirated on my computer but I don't have a clue in the world how to use it lol.
