So basically I need money for college and I was thinking about selling prints of my photos. But how would I go about doing this? Is there a website that you might suggest? Or should i just make prints and sell them?

I think I am just gonna buy a pack of 50 pre cut mat board, order 50 8 x 10 prints, and sell for $10 shipped to your door.
I will make roughly $200.
Sound reasonable?

There are lots of "creatively inclined" websites that will buy your pictures and there is stock. do a google book search of "how to sell photos".

more trouble than it's worth if you're planning on mounting the photos yourself.
Your best bet may be stock websites.

Honestly, I don't know... Keep researching. Only photos I sell are direct to clients or to mags, I've never tried to sell prints or stock. Prints just suck to make and deal with, and then ship, as you have to make sure they don't get creased.
If I were trying to sell prints, I would just sell the print itself and ship it in a tube mailer.

Threads. Maybe you could make a list of good stockphoto sites?
Also, maybe post a link to your flickr so we can see your work?

I don't have any better ideas but I think your work to reward ratio is far too high.
You're better off doing custom photoshoots for people. Glamour photos, weddings, kids sporting events, etc. Even if you undercut the big "professional" photographers you can still make a pretty nice profit.

ive tried several stock photo sites with no luck. it takes weeks to completely register, and its not worth the work to get a few cents for your pics. The money is in taking shots for clients, not posting random shots and hoping someone will buy them

prints wont make any money, hell I wonder how many photos grant gunderson even sells in print. Don't pre buy prints either, waste of money. There are plenty of websites out there that will let you buy framed prints one at a time and will even ship them to customers.
When I get an order through my store, I order the print and have it shipped directly to the customer. I never see the prints before they get to the customer. Doing test prints with all sale photos will give you quality assurance.
look into stock

Stock is a bitch. I have stuff on shutterstock and dreamstime. You need to put a ton of work into building a portfolio, You will not generate income unless you have a massive portfolio. Also, everything has already been done and these sites hate accepting duplicates.
