has anyone done it? my milestone is slow as hell and is still on android 2.2, i want to try the cyanogenmod
rom. will i lose my apps, contacts and pictures? and does the phone have to be rooted for me to flash it?

the rom is for droid, will it work on milestone? they are basically the same phone but i'm not sure
