correct me if I'm wrong but mewtwo was created in a lab from mew. mewtwo was the 150th pokémon while mew is the 151st. Mew was the only one missing in red and blue versions of the game.. also green was the australian/japanese version of blue. all from memory of my childhood... haha
nope there was 151... in the red and blue gameboy games there was only 150 mew was the only missing one.. unless you count missing no as a real pokémon. Really missing no isn't a number hence the name, also it was a glitch in the game in order to get unlimited rare candies.
hes talking about the first season of the show, where there was one pokemon (#152) that showed up in the show even though it wasn't in Red/Blue. Cant remember the name of the pokemon though
The first two games released in Japan were pokemon Red and Green. Blue was then released as an enhanced version. The japanese blue version was reprogrammed as the red and blue international release.

but does Ho-Oh technically count? sure he is seen flying above in the first episode, but he goes unnamed for the rest of the season and isn't seen either, so is he technically part of the original 151?
or master balls or golden nuggets... a very under utilized ability. but you gotta feel bad for that guy trying to teach you to catch pokemon.... the whole time he thought you wanted to know how to catch pokemon but all you really wanted was rare candies.
