i don't even actually own a saab, but my '97 silverado 2500 will rape some snow. dug it in about a foot under eight inches of snow and like three inches of mud at the bottom of a hill in my backyard last winter and she climbed out without a problem.

Ah yes very good, but you can apply the same logic to the roads. Face it, your FJ is the better choice if you're making fresh tracks through deep snow off road but the rest of the time,on the roads, you'll get there faster, using less fuel and with greater control in a suby.

http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/saab-bankrupt-2011-12-19 i cant embed it, but saabs outta business so youcant get parts for em and the warranties are all void except for a few private dealerships upholding them, so i would have to recommend against it just cause as soon as you need a part that shits gonna get real expensive real quick

not reading all this thread but I just wanna say HOLY SHIT THAT MUST BE THE FIRST TIME A SUBARU GOT STUCK IN SNOW AND A SAAB DROVE PAST. sick thread. I drive my low forester up the mountain in any conditions. I don't give a fuck and neither does my car. being able to haul past beaters in lifted trucks to go ski pow with my bros. it's what makes a subaru a subaru.

They do have many viking traits, like being indestructible but they lack ability in the snow.  Mine is a tank though haha

mmmmmmm r series are sexy. I have a 2000 850 wagon, if I got new tires that would really help a lot though.  My vw passat did much better in snow though.
