A quick word on blocking ads

**cliff's notes** --contest swaying should be kept to once/person.
I search barred and all posts are in site discussion--which is likely where they belong-- but I know a lot of the vote swaying threads are posted in NSG, and a lot of NSG users don't read site discussion.
So, I replied to the thread in site discussion, but thought it was worth posting here too...
my opinion is that everyone who is a valid member of NS gets to have a vote swayed once-- can we get either an agreement to make this an unspoken policy, or have alternate suggestions if people don't agree with me?
I've been waiting seven years to use mine and have yet to do so. I saw this contest last year on Crate & Barrel where couples were competing to win the most votes to get a shopping spree toward their registry. I thought that I might use my one chance on this coming up here since I'm getting married, but haven't decided. I also saw another one where I could have had my condo remodel voted on to win a shopping spree for furniture-- I passed on this too. When I do finally post, I hope people vote.
If I posted every contest on here, including my friends' contests-- like some do (this isn't directed at anyone!), no one would ever vote because people would get so sick of it (I feel like we're on the verge of this already).
So hopefully people will not take advantage of NS to the point that people stop voting all together. I really want to use my chance someday. I hope other people view it like this as well...ike they get one sway vote card and must choose to use it wisely.
