Well, my Twitter wall just blew up with the news.

A part of me is really hoping that it's just false news. But I don't think it is.

I never had a chance to meet her in person, but she was definitely someone that the ski industry will sorely miss and certainly never forget.

she will be remembered as a trooper, this is the sadest news i have heard in a while, After this huge loss I think we should strat a foundation or something to help rory out with this huge loss! whos in?

She was always my hero from my home mountain of horseshoe resort. Always someone who I looked up to and strived to be like. This is absolutely devastating for me, the freeskiing community, Canada and all of her loved ones.

RIP Sarah you will truly be missed.

Absolutely heartbreaking. Thanks Sarah for being an inspiration, especially to the up and coming female skiers. You were someone who pushed the boundaries of what some thought female skiers were capable of and gave alot of the male pros a run for their money. You will be missed.

i am completely shocked and saddened by this news. Sarah coached me at Momentum for two years and I will never forget the tips she gave me and how incredibly kind she was to my friends and I. She was a pioneer for women's skiing and helped to put our great sport on the map. RIP Sarah, you will be forever missed by your friends from Ontario and the skiing world.
