Kelly Sildaru - Best girl skier

So maybe she doesn't have the biggest bag of tricks. But it's big.... for her age... and especially because Kelly is a girl.

She's the best because she's pushing girl's park skiing harder than anyone else I can think of. Yes, age has to do with it. Think about it... when was the last time you were in the park and saw a little kid throwing down harder than you, convincing you to send it? I could be wrong, but I'm sure the girls are watching, and I'm sure it's pushing them to go bigger.

She's also not just skiing around until the comps, and then trying to do well. She actively promotes herself, and look where it's gotten her... k2, Red Bull, Nike 6.0....

I was just talking the other day about how I've never really seen a girl do a blunt 9 that I can think of... Then she releases her season edit from last year.



Best wishes to Kelly for another banger season, can't wait to see what she will accomplish.

Kelly Sildaru is awesome, and I can see her getting really far, really fast. If she progresses this season as much as she did last, judging by that edit, she's going to be on a whole new level for women's skiing... which is absolutely phenomenal.

Hahah that is hilarious that like a 10 year old (no idea how old she is) is hands down the best female skier in the game right now. Like she could easily win x-games with the bag of tricks she has at the moment, good for her!

My god I am blown away. The best style I have ever seen from a grom. Not to mention that she is a girl. And has better style than most women twice her age. She will be amazing, world famous, and dominate women's skiing very soon. Wow.

but i am gonna be that guy and say this



she has a long way to grow.. and who knows how her body will develop and she may not be able to ski at this level for ever.

like my sister. she was a state champ at gymnastics when she was young as soon as her boobs came in she could not do shit. she ended up quitting



i hope she has a good long career though.

its sick to see if happen in skiing but idk why people are so blown away by when you consider how good young girls can be at gymnastics, it was just a matter of time before someone brought the same Lazlo Polgar (sp) child raising mentality to skiing and probably every other action sport.

The entire women's freeskiing community should be ashamed that a 9 year old is currently the best skier they have. Seriously, I could do every trick in that edit, and I'm never going to be a pro skier.

seems like this happens to a fair number of female athletes. for example a lot of chicks who do cross country stop getting faster after they hit puberty.

but i hope kelly keeps slaying. 450's out, grabbed 720's, and 900s? crazy

Now that slopestyle and halfpipe are olympic events, I wouldn't be surprised to see the chinese and other such countries producing skiers of this caliber at young ages.

But Kelly deserves recognition for sure.
