sorry about the title. i just thought this would be good to add cause everybody is up in arms about race and a ton of people think that you have to black to act a certain way or to listen to rap/hiphop. feel free to add on. one more thing, ive got a bunch of contradicting philosophies so if i sound like im a hypocrite, im just scatterbrained.

does it really matter how you 'act' thats all steriotypical and people can act how they want. if yuo dont liek how someone acts then why do yuo care unless it bothers you. acting 'black' is very steriotypical. my school i spredomanently black too, i have gotten shit like twice and they were just kidden. i think people who are steriotypical and kinda racist and shit are mostly from areas wehre there isnt much diversity. also at my school there is spectrum, app and regular. app is top 98% 1080 chicks in that, ms perfect 4.0... but tthen there is top 96% is spectrum, wich i am in. then ther is regular. theere are kids in specturm that are bearly passing there grade and there are kids in regular that have 4.0s and are defanentaly brighter then kidsn in spectrum, only specrtum is full and no kids can get in. i think that people shold kick kids with bad grades out of specturm and let regular kids that deserve it in. there is something called open honors that regular kids can take too, its like specturm only yohu dont have to test in. they all get liek 4.0s and people in my class get like 2.0s and shit. doesnt make sense. my school is liek 60$black, and my class is 1/4 black in specrum. in app there is like 3 black peopl ehtat i can think of. stop being steriotypical people. remember the steriotypical skier is some rich white dumb snob kid.

People get mad when white people listen to hip-hop because there is still a huge race issue. Racially, we still think in colour, how many times have ya'll headz been told to stop 'acting, talking or dressing black' like its something negative. Man fuck that, its all just music man. Then you got fucking 85ers like Tanner Hall screaming about how they street and then flaming on how they're republican , foo' the republicans are keeping the black man in the gutters (among many other factors)and helping to keep these barriers. So to everyone who just likes the image not the music stop fucking it up for e'erybody else.

if they make too little money it's their own fault, they always try to use their race as a skapegoat. whenever you do or say anything, they asume it's because there black. i have a kid in my math class that's an ass. i hate him because in the begining of the year i got a low grade on a test and he told me i was stupid and gave me shit about it. all year, he's been telling people i hate him because i'm racist. i'm not racist. i just think they use it as a crutch. when the aids virus first came to america in the 80's, whoopie goldberd publicly anounced she thought it was a conspericy perpetuated by the white leaders of our goverment to wipe out the african american race. anyway, my explanation is woefully inadequate, read the book, it was actualy written by a black man about how his race was holding itself back. the book isent just about that, that's one of the 10 things.

I live in Ottawa, a somewhat multicultural city. I got made fun of a lot in highschool, mostly in grade 9 and 10, when the school was over 90% white. I wasn't really made fun of becuase of the colour of my skin, but because I listened to some Indian music, and followed some cultural beliefs. I don't follow any of that any more, and my 'rents are angry at me for that. I don't think they understand how hard it was. I don't think anyone can truely understand how hard racsim can be unless it becomes part of their everyday life.
When people say things like 'I hate hip hop because it's all about the bling bling' or 'I hate punk because I don't understand it' they are contributing to prejudice just as much as some of the assholes I had to go to school with. I'm not saying you have to like everything, but arguing about cultural differences such as music seems pretty ignorant to me.

I think it is important to listen to a range of things. I consider myself a true punk, because I listen to everything. I'll listen to absolutely any music. Genres dont matter. People just have trouble accepting that people are who they are. There are also times tho, when people pretend to be something they aren't. But hey, if they want to be that way, whatever. It's their life.
