Pre-treating outerwear stains?

before you all shit on me, i already searched barred and didnt get all the help i needed. but any way, Will pretreating stains on my saga pants with things like shout stain remover kill the water proofing? because i have ghost pants, needless to say they are prettty dirty. Also will bleaching them be bad because almost all of it is white but there is a black saga logo and what not.

i use borax, its like a powder you put into a load of laundry. works like a charm. as for messing with the waterproofing i have no idea, i didnt see any negative results on my stuff

i know drying it sets stains, but the website you gave me says that drying hard shell outerwear will restore the water proofing?

What I've done in the past is:
1- Take a lemon and slice it in half.
2- Rub the half on the rust stain.
3- Leave it outside in the sun until it dries.
4- Put it through a cold water wash.

Lemon juice is not very harsh, it's natural and I dont think it will mess up the waterproofing.

thats exactly what I do except after the lemon juice, rub it with sea salt to help remove the stain

No bleach!!! That shit is really bad in every way. I would like to hear what people have to say, has anyone thaken their stuff to a drycleaner ??

wait do you rub it with just straight sea salt or do you get it wet first?

I get it wet with lemon juice and then rub it with sea salt. Then just leave it in the sun all day and it works every time for me
