Hey I just got line celebrities 90 underfoot for christmas and want to start to dip in to park. Who has some tips for a girl starting out? Basic stuff

why would tips for new skiiers be different if you were a girl? to be honest just read the new skiier sticky, im pretty sure their is one. if not go to the park and do stuff, simple as that

I'll try to be somewhere in between a trolling foreveralone and a white knighting asshole and say try to ski with someone that is good in the park and practice following their line and staying at their speed.. I have to do that when I film and I feel like it really helps me feel more comfortable on park features.

Personally the only time that I progress is when I'm skiing with other girls. It's way more fun, you push eachother because you're all about the same level, and there's just a better vibe than with guys. Sometimes I feel like guys beat themselves up when they don't land something or get all frustrated and angry, and that doesn't make for a fun day.

My advice, like other people in this thread, is just have fun. Also, focus on one thing at a time, even if it's something simple like sliding a flat box. I'll spend an entire day trying one thing, and when I finally get it, it's awesome. I used to try things a few times, get frustrated, then move onto something else and I never locked anything down. I'm skiing better than I really ever have these days because I'm skiing with other girls, there's no pressure, and I'm focusing. I wasn't really looking to progress but it's just happening and it's awesome.

If you're in the Park City area come and ski with my roommates and I! We'll help you out.

Have fun and push yourself. Don't be scared to try something new if you wanna get good. Like someone else said previously, surround yourself with good skiers and you will get a lot better.

Get out there, have fun and practice like anyone else. Find a supportive group of people that can push you to try new things, and don't get intimidated.

practice riding switch and find some easy flat boxes to start sliding. if there's a small jump line in the park, start with just straight airing the jumps to get the feel for it.
