I just got fitted today for boots because I didn't like the fit of my boots which are basically the cheapest boots my mom saw last season, and they were never fitted for my foot. So today at the boot fitter, I was told my boots were 2 sizes too big.
Initially I wanted to look at FT's and would try whatever he recommended. I tried the boots on, fit the shells, sat in them walked around, flexed them and everything, both boots felt really nice and very snug compared to my current boots. I'd say the full tilts felt softer and a bit more comfortable, then the nordicas and for the nordicas I liked how the entire boot fit more snug all around, where the full tilt felt more loose towards the top (which could just be tightening i guess).
The guy fitting me and another older guy (40s, 50s) working there both suggested the nordicas over the FTs because I can put in a custom footbed, and also theyre more responsive and will let me control my edges better or something along the lines of that. He also said that full tilt adds a peice of plastic or something at the top of the boots for their pro's mimicking the usual design of boots today, but leave that out on their retail model.
I'm looking for input on what any of you think on which boot would be better, for someone whos 5'11, 180, skis about 85% park and outside of that the hills in ontario have no real tough terrain. Also wondering if my skis will be affected adjusting my binds from fitting a 27.5 boot to a 25.5 boot.
