Can you sleep in an RV in the Baker parking lot?

Couple of my buddies and I are thinking of re-living the Kamp K2 experience. Rent RV, drive to baker, sleep in parking lot and ski.

Anyone done this before? Is it Kosher with management?

I've spent plenty of nights camping illegally in cars and in my much less inconspicuous Westfalia, and I've basically learned you can camp anywhere if you follow two rules.
1. Discretion - try to be secretive and don't piss anyone off.
2. Early mornings - try to get up before 7:30 and just move to a different spot and you won't be bothered. almost every time I got busted for sleeping in illegal parking lots was because I got lazy and slept in.

i did it in 2008, it was rad.  mad other crews up there raging and getting stoked to shred the next day.  its like a campground of old dirty skiers.

I havent lived up there for a long time but from what I remember people used to sleep in campers at the lower lodge all the time. if someone gives them shit you can drive like 10 minutes down baker or probably less and find a ton of spots to park the rv and sleep.

Slept in my truck at the heather meadows parking lot the other weekend without any problems. from their site:

Overnight parking of self contained RVs and campers is permitted in our parking lots only in specific areas. These are: the southeast corner of the Heather Meadows parking lots, and the back (northeast) corner of the White Salmon lot. Please note that the White Salmon parking lot gate is locked from 5 PM until 6 AM every day.

Still not 100% sure if we're going to get this together, but ever since Kamp K2 I've always wanted to do this again.

Is there a best time of the season to go to Baker?

Pretty much never. It only rains in WA and the snow is so heavy that there are more construction workers using it to make buildings on any given day than skiers skiing it.

mt. baker parking lot (upper lot) is mega chill, i'd go around early march, whenever it is snowing, it snowed like 20 days in a row last year, don't listen to these rain kids doug, it pukes there and the parking lot is by far the best place to sleep

Well, technically the flood risk from the severe rains is pretty high, and an eruption may or may not be imminent, but since you're the coolest thing Canada has to offer Doug, you might as well go to Baker in early March.

my brother's done that at baker and a bunch of places in bc for a few seasons, if security comes knocking on your window you just don't answer at all and completely pretend to not hear them. they'll just go away eventually.

youll be fine but bring a moat to build around whatever vehicle you sleep in so it doesnt flood. 2 feed deep x 3 feet wide is usually big enough though
