Sth 14 durability

Alright so I'm 23 and am getting back into skiing this winter after a 5 or 6 year break. Im not an expert skier by any means but I know how to ski and am trying to progress this winter. Im going to be skiing mostly park or urban so i found some 2010 walls for 250 but when it came to bindings I was lost. I ended up finding some sth 14 "drivers" on craigslist in boulder and had them shipped to me in AK.. except when i got the bindings i realized they weren't drivers like the ad claimed (yeah i asked for pics but they were terrible.) So my question is should a skier of my skill be worried about the non drivers holding up.. as that is what everybody seems to claim is that the drivers are bombproof and the non drivers are garbage.

Well , i have both, my non driver is broken, like all the plastic get off, still work tought. I have some picture in my profile. The driver is by far a better binding

no.... 916's are metal, no salomon binding other then the steel's are metal, they have more metal in them but are still mostly plastic(strong plastic that is)

So you just have normal STH 14s?
Hmmm....I'd only hope they hold up, they should. Unless they're built completely like a Z toe, which they might just be.

If you go driver, they'll last forever. I beat the shit out of my gear, I've gone through so many skis, yet I've had the same pair of STH 16's for 4 seasons now, (going on 5).

alright thanks for the input guys.. i really want drivers i just didn't know how hard the people complaining about the non drivers were using them. ill keep my eyes open for a good deal on some.

i got non drivers, they take as much as you give'em....unless you're doing some GNARLY ASS shit, they will hold up!! 2 years now and still on the run
