step back and just try to see yourself from a different angle, you've carried the same attitude through all your posts and you are missing the point. I remember being 16 and i know you're not an idiot, but looking back i see that a lot of the things i thought to be true, were not.
it doesnt matter who invented what where. the invention of the lightbulb, sliced bread, batteries and cars, are human achievement shared among all of us.
try this: american history is just a collection of past events that occurred in a specific location on earth. It follows the same template, more or less, as the history of france, madagascar, or china, etc all are equally amazing. the point is, americans automatically put themselves on a podium and its annoying as fuck because its almost impossible to convince you otherwise.
its ok to feel patriotic once in a while, but every country has some amazing stories to tell. The difference is that they dont feel the need to go shove it in peoples faces. its how you're country works and i dont see it changing, which further frustrates those who have to deal with you guys blabbing all the time and then complaining that other people are complaining because you are being obnoxious. (this thread for instance...)
