as tight as you can get them without cutting off the circulation in your legs. just because they are full tilts doesnt mean that you need to wear them tighter or looser.
Have them adjusted to a proper tightness, just like you would with any other boot. Make sure you're comfortable enough without any problems. There is no right or wrong, unless you're really stupid.
If they're too loose, you might find that you don't have enough support, and you foot/leg moves around too much.
If they're too tight, you'll limit the amount of circulation in your foot/leg, and can also risk breaking the cables/buckles from too much tension.
cheers, also i had them fitted and moulded and been wearing them around to break them in at home but was wondering that there is still quite alot of pressure on my toes will this just sort it self out with use ?
It's normal to feel pressure on your toes when standing straight as that's not the proper way to ski, no matter how much afterbanging you'll be doing. To have a correct skiing form, you need to bend your knees and apply pressure with your shins. Try it out by just putting your boots on, and flexing them forward, you'll notice that your feet will slide back a bit and that your toes won't be as scrunched up.
rule of thumb, even with the track system of the full tilt buckles, you should be able to push them with little effort with ONLY YOUR PINKY. the man, the myth, the legend Luke Van Valin said that
this is true for all boots unless you are racing, you want those tighter than a mother fucker
yer they did, think its also that im sitting around in them, think it will just sort its self out over time, its the first time i had properly done new boots so i am sort of guessing, think body heat and use will mould it and thin it out a little
Wear them loose enough for comfort but tight enough for good control.i have the new doggers and I wear them fairly tight good for spins and butters and every thing else.
i think he meant he could lock down his buckles with the pressure from one pinky.
op, boots should be about as tight as they can be, without feeling like they're affecting the circulation of your feet. everytime you first put them on you should think, "huh, these are pretty darn tight", but than after skiing a run they should just feel normal. if after a run you're feet are going to sleep you have too tight of boots
