From A Real Christian's Perspective.

this will be a long read. but i ask you to read it. and read the whole thing before you post.

also, this is not a thread to preach to you, it is a thread so you may understand a few things.

95 percent of people on here rant and hate on christians. there are so many threads made on here making fun of, ridiculing, hating, and just bashing christians as much as possible. i mean really, you look at the comments made towards christians on here, and they are some of the worst. why is it only towards christianity that you show this hate towards? why not islam? buddhism? or any other religion. islamic people blow people up for their religions sake. but no one says the things towards them that you say towards christians.

that being said.


i also do not agree with a lot of the "christians" your stories are about, or start off about. being a real christian, you will not go around stating, "God hates fags", or anything from that westborough church, street preachers yelling out "turn or burn!", that guy setting an end date to the world, or any of that. not biblical whatsoever.

i dont know the statistics of it, but i would go as far to say that at least 65 percent of people that go to any denomination church are not christians. they are simply people that go to feel good, or to make their parents or spouse happy, and then go back to partying, drugs or living their life how they want to. also, most people that call themselves "christians" do not even go to church. what i'm getting at, is a lot of "christians" arent christians at all.

i grew up in a christian home. went to church every sunday, and to wednesday night youth group once old enough. but i got into highschool, and got into partying, smoking, the whole thing. i wasnt a christian, i knew all the christian-ee things, went through the actions of it to make my parents proud, but i wasnt. i just wanted to do my own thing, and have fun. it wasnt until my senior year of highschool through a chain of events that i realized how screwed up i made my life, and february 14th 2009 i became a legit christian. quit partying, made different friends. which i can tell you, are closer than any of the other friends i had. those friends disappear pretty quickly once you tell em you arent going to party or smoke anymore with em.. anyways. i know christianity, i grew up in it, have learned it my whole life, and have studied it some. i'm no pastor, but i do know quite a bit.

i tell you that so you know i might have some legitimacy to what i'm saying.. none of the aforementioned peoples in the first paragraph are true christians. and most of you on here have a very warped sense of what real christianity is. it is not hating people, it is not protesting funerals, it is not prophesying the end of the world..none of that. it is a relationship between you and God. it is living your life according to the Bible and God's laws (the ten commandments).

yes, God hates sin, but he does not hate the person. i disagree with homosexuality, but that doesnt mean i hate the gay dude. i dont like his decisions or actions, but that doesnt mean i'm going to hate him. i work in the film industry, i'm around gay guys all the time, some of them are super hilarious and cool to be around.. its no different than if i were to be a porn star banging all sorts of chicks.. there is so much over emphasis "christians" put on what sort of sin people are doing that make them so much more horrible than others when they in fact, are sinning just as much if not more.

yes, i'm a christian, but that doesnt mean i sit at home all day reading my bible, worshipping a statue of mary or jesus, and going to church, and its jesus jesus jesus, in your face, and i hate anyone who disagrees with me. no. thats not it either. yea, i read my bible, i go to church around twice a week, and yea i'll talk to you about christianity if it comes up or something. but i'm not going to shove it down your throat, i'm not gonna hate you if you dont choose it. but i'll pray for you and still love on you.

a real christian shows compassion towards people. they will love people, they will be giving of themselves and things to help other people out. they wont hesitate to give. they wont be hateful or vengeful towards people. myself and other christians are by no means perfect. but they are certainly not you warped view of christians.

hopefully, this may clear up some of the misconceptions a lot of you have about what true christianity is. i dont know how well i did explaining it. but in the end, some of you say, you accept all religions, but then you turn around and just hate on christianity. and that really is the only religion you guys hate on. so maybe stand by your word, and "accept all religions" and stop the hating?

yes, those westborrough people are idiots, and the "god hates fags" people are too. but that is NOT christianity. and those people are not living a christian life. guarantee it.
