The wednesday night heros, DOA and Rancid. was 17 and thought I was punk as fuck. we predrank colt 45 by the tracks sang and danced for like 4 hours straight and I lost my voice for like 2 days.

Bouncing souls and dropkick murphys was also a good one.

And too many amazing local shows to list

Chris Webby at The Haunt in Ithaca. Front row, right on the stage! He went so hard for an hour and a half, played 17 songs and killed a freestyle in the 2nd verse of They Already Know. Such a good show.

EOTO in morgantown wv last fall was fuckin intense, small show only like 100 people but everyone lost their minds. dudes jammed until like 4am. i feel like their shows are always sick but in a college town its another level of epic

Kasabian in Edmonton 2012. Frickin insane. In a tiny venue and it was so loud and epic and every British dude in the city was there.

Sam Roberts...guy makes live music sound so good.

My girlfriend went to them when they were in Calgary. She grew up in England, so she's in love with every English band. They (very quickly) made it into her top three greatest concerts of all time (Neil Young, Paul McCartney, and Kasabian). She's seen a ton of concerts too, the most of any of the people I know.


For example, we went to Arctic Monkeys and the Black Keys tonight. They were both amazing! I loved every minute of it.
However; the best I've been to is the Foo Fighters on their last tour. Amazing (and long) set. I love them, amazing music, amazing acoustics, amazing overall atmosphere.

Worst has to be Soundgarden, all feedback and fuzz, and their new stuff sounded like every other Soundgarden/Audioslave song. The Meat Puppets opened for them though, I wish they would have kept playing, they played a nine or so minute jam of Lake of Fire, I loved it.

The Black Keys (both times I saw them) in Vancouver. Most recently this past Wednesday May 11th when they played here in Vancouver with the Arctic Monkeys as a double billing. I knew nothing about the Arctic Monkeys going in but was pleasantly surprised with the sound and energy they brought. I must admit I enjoyed the Keys experience again but found the show last June at Deer Lake Park to be more enjoyable (because I'm an outdoorsy type). The Rolling Stones were pretty top notch as well during their "a bigger bang" tour back in 2006; it was definitely a very epic first concert experience.

I saw them a couple weeks ago at the ACC. We were 20 rows up, 90' on Flea's right side. I have to say, I didn't have the bed time. It's because of the venue being so big. Even the Black Keys there was so-so. Small venue is crucial for a good show, unless it's outside

Jealous. I wish I had the funds last year when I was actually out there at the time it was going down. Can't believe I was so fucking close and didn't go. It was like I broke every rule in my book. Sometime I'll get there. There's been a lot on my radar that I've made. Last year I got 6 new large fests and s few new small ones. This year I'm planning at least one new one with waka. So maybe eventually I'll make it out to shit like coachella and high sierra.

Hmmm. Alesso was fantastic as an opener for Guetta, who was also dope. Warren Haynes Band had an awesome vibe at a little park in Lowell, so much better than expected, same for DSO in Concord, NH last winter. The half set of Kaskade I caught at Identity has to be the best, though. I'm stoked to see him again this summer.

not sure what they bring to the table now but they were definitely pretty hard punk when i first saw them some 9-10 years ago. maybe they went the route AFI did. that shit used to be fucking awesome with days of the phoenix and shit, but not its all miss murder and weird alternative emo shit. idk. old thrice was so good though. hit that show up, man. i'm sure it'll be the mad notes

Last year. 85 000 ppl standing in the rain, singing "such a lonley day". it was awesome. goosebumbs guaranteed. too bad they don't come to Europe this summer.

coachella doesn't seem like a badass festival. any experiences? kinda lame compared to rock in rio or other big festivals.

Welp, aside from getting 2 hours of sleep and working a 10 hour shift today while hungover, the concert was fucking incredible. So much fun, and so many good songs. Plus, Nick Lidstrom showed up on stage and rocked out haha. Fffuuccckkk it was so amazing.

We had Elements music festival in our city which is one of the biggest edm festivals in canada. there was a stage called the fire room and when datsik, zomboy, borgore and showtek went on it was super fucking loud and awesome
