I currently ski on a 2007 K2 AK Enemy 179. It's super sick for blasting through everything, and skis really well on the groomers too. The downside is that it's a bit of an unforgiving beast, and unless you power it, it's tank-like character doesn't react (although it IS quick edge-to-edge, no matter what - probably a result of the triaxial briaded core, inherent to all K2 skis). It needs good juice to get going, kind of like a real tank. Also like a real tank, it doesn't flip and spin very well, and I kind of want something that does better off backcountry booters.
Last season I demo'd the Salomon Rocker 2. Awesome ski, super light, but maybe a little too light. EVERYTHING felt like I was skiing on powder. It was really good in the park too, but I prefer something with a little more unforgiving character.
So the question is, is Mr Pollard's Opus a good mix between the two aforementioned skis? Awesome to trick with, blasts through everything, but also points out your errors on the groomers?
Thanks
