Who in here longboards? Its so fun. u can carve so much tighter than regular skateboards, and they just look so much cooler just cruzin around. don't get me wrong, i aint dissin technical skating, right now im working on a 45inch splitdeck pintail. its gonna be so sweet.

I ride a 46 inch Sector 9 Super Cruiser. I am also in the process of buying an agressive longboard. Wanna learn handrails on it and do some bowl riding on it. Longboards are more stylie but less technical. I can do manuals, hangtens, and 1 footed carving. Hills are so fun to bomb and you get such great looks carving up and down the street! Almost as great as surfing!

dude, buld yur own. it is so easy, and its pretty easy. basicaly, you cut a chunk of good plywood into the shape, soak it for a day in warm water, let it dry in some kinda jig, then you fiberglass. that can be the last step, bt its real easy to finish um nice. i got some sites with good info. downhilling is so sweet.

I made about 8-9 boards last summer with my friend. We made two out of clear blue plexiglass and the rest out of treated wood. Only one is still intact, we rode them all so hard for so long. It was awesome, the only thing was the normal skateboard trucks suck, you need to use actual pivot longboard trucks so you can carve well!

yeah u do. i got Randal R2 150s, and those are sweet. By the way, how do plexiglass boards work? better or worse than wood.

They are so sweet looking, we made one pintail one, and one snowboard shape one. They work well but you must use a support down the middle, we just used this long metal piece between the trucks. They are pretty easy to make and are pretty durable, kinda have to experiment. One turned out better than the wood boards and the other did slightly worse.

i love it, i have two Freerides, a Bareback, and a Surf One. The Surf One is the newest and my favorite right now. The Freeride boards that have tails are the best for tricks and rails, i can backside flip my Jake down 3 stair sets

im currently riding a sector nine, and its sweet. yeah bobming hills is fun. hey can you post the sites about making boards? and my bro wants a longboard but hes big, could i make one for him thats really strong for like someone thats 250
?

and how do you guys make the molds that you clamp your boards into after you soak them? i wanna make an old school surf-style one and put a softtop on it, but i dont think ill need a mold for it

I soak it in water for a day or two and use wood working clamps and let set. Then I just use my saber saw and router to do the rest!

my friend freeboards. thats all he does now. he is selling his skateboard. he is hella good. freeboardingis like longboarding only there is a small 5th and 6th wheel on the bottom so you can carve like a snowbaord and he does on the on the ground like 1260s and crap its so tight.,

freeboards are sooooooooooooo tight. greg is hella good at it....but thats all he's done after school and on weekends for like...3 weeks. it looks so fun but when i tried i fell right on my ass..

Man, I'm proly gonna get one this summer. A Sector 9 LukeNoseWalker, Dregs Super tanker or Gravity Street rider or something HELLA-L-O-N-G like that. I don't skate, but I'm stoked on longboarding and pool skating. Fuck the tech, i'll save that for my bike in a rainy day, style is where its at.
