How do you like your steaks cooked ?

I prefer my steaks cooked medium on the outside but inbetween rare and medium rare on the inside.

just devoured a medium 18oz ribeye with horseradish sauce, mashed potatoes, potato cakes and cream spinach at the metropolitan grill last night. god bless beef

Rare side of medium rare. It depends on the steak though. The best I have ever had was cooked to house medium (which is about M-M/R in most people's vernacular) because it was so thick there was simply no other way to cook it.

Medium rare to rare. Depends where I'm eating(how nice the place is). For my birthday last year I had a rare filet mignon which was completely raw in the center, soooo fucking good.

sear quickly on both sides and then into the oven for a little bit. goal is medium rare but if it goes to medium thats alright.

Rare. Typically cool in the center still. Warm pink center is very good as well. I prefer the steak to bleed out when I cut into it though.

Well-done steak is pointless. Might as well just eat a tire.

It's called Blue Rare.

The purpose is to kill any bacteria that might have been transferred to the exterior of the steak during slaughter or transport.

Cool inside is just as safe so long as the outside has been seared. You get maximum juices possible as well since the searing process locks the juices inside as well.

depends. to be honest with you there are times when i like a medium to medium well done steak. when i barbecue steak for a steak sandwich that's usually how i do it. but when its a steak dinner with a potato and salad, always medium rare.
