It might not be style but something good which comes out of this whole "vintage" clothing movement is increased sales in shops like salvation army and charities, let them look like dicks and support charities
I have all of the above haha. Thankfully, I stopped popping my collar in high school.
But seriously, lol at all the idiots in this thread who think what you wear defines you as a person. I bet if half the people on NS saw me on any given day they'd think I was a preppy douchebag, and if I saw the majority of NSers I'd think they were idiots for wearing their sister's jeans, a tent for a t shirt, and a beanie in the summer, but hey, maybe if we actually took the time to talk to someone instead of judging them by what they wear, we wouldn't have so many assholes. Yay!
I'm going to go ahead and post some kid on facebooks status from the other day...
"saw the ultimate hipster today. bad hair, over ear headphones on one ear, neon snapback, tanktop, fake raybans, messenger bag, cutoff skinnys, tall socks, and a pair of vans. I assume he rode his fixed gear bicycle to shaws with his boy hair, crooked teeth sporting girlfriend on the handlebars. I laughed cried screamed and nearly vomited."
I don't notice what anyone wears, except when I see a "hipster" as you people call it. I call it "some dude who was wearing some really really weird clothes"
The only time i wear turf shoes is on turf, and i prefer nike, I dont wear argyle crew socks, mostly nike athletic socks. I do wear nantuckets and polos but popped collars are for guidos. We all hate guidos.
I went to the concert at pioneer park tonight, and after extensive crowd watching, I have come to the conclusion that about 90% of the Utah male population shops at zumiez, pacsun, or maceys. There were maybe, 5 hipsters total, the rest of the people are skate-bros, snow-bros or bro bros. All the girls look like hipster girls did 2 years ago, except now because of forever 21 and urban, it's no longer hipster, just the average girl look. No real hipster spotting to be done there.
wow i saw this guy wearing loafers with skinny jeans today, they weren't just regular skinny jeans, they were TIGHT. might as well wear spandex.. too bad i didn't have my phone
