Thinking about 1st grade through 5th. Those were the days. They days when life was worry less.

when i find out that cousins/family friends that i still think are like 7 years old are actually almost in high school.

when i have to deal with a landlord.

I babysat my young Niece and Nephew and rewatched:

-The Little Mermaid
-The Swan Princess
-Beauty and the Beast
-Snow White

...and I feel like this is the first time that I actually knew what was going on. Fuck, I even made up words for some of the famous lines as a kid without even knowing, and hearing them now shocked me because I finally understand them fully. I'm 21 by the way.

I'm a lifeguard at a waterpark and lots of times, kids will adress me as "Sir" and even their parents do.

i remember hearing songs on the radio and singing along and now i still listen to that music and realize that that song is 15 years old. and still thinking that it is like 3 years old.

this. this summer rewatched some old disney movies on vhs, robin hood, peter pan, lady and the tramp, aladdin, 101 dalmations. i'd watched all of these a ton when i was little, and can recite the lines perfectly, but there were so many things i missed when i was younger.

i was talking to a kid about pokemon a while ago and i told him blue was my favorite. he said "there isnt a blue version" . after i recovered from my disappointment a little, i said i only play the classics. "oh you mean like platinum?". what is the world coming to?

when I realized that I'm very very close to having to move out and become financially independent. Then I thought about it and remembered I have (hopefully) another 60-80 years to live.

i wish you the best of luck sir.

as for me, i hope to be around until my grandchildren are old enough to remember me. then i hope to go out doing something really fucking rad, like wingsuit base jumping. that way i'll always be remembered as a super fucking awesome person instead of being remembered as a senile old fuck who shits his adult diapers and rants about the good old days when we weren't governed by the chinese.

My grandparents neighbor at their beach house was an un-married 104 y/o woman.

I couldn't imagine living like that though, she had no kids, no husband, and no relatives and was constantly hooked to an oxygen tank.

My grandpa is 87 or 88 I believe and he still runs half marathons lol. I KNOW its possible, and a realistic goal if I keep myself healthy like I have been all my life so far.
