I just wanted for a quick second to state that this site is absolutely my favorite thing in the entire world.

I feel so honored that such an incredible group of skiers come together to form the completely insane and untameable force that is Newschoolers.com.

You guys are what skiing needed. Don't let anyone ever tell you different. This thing is in the hands of the people, and we're guiding the revolution the way it should have been from the start.

Thats it... just a moment of pure appreciation for the newschoolers community.

what really strikes me as being crazy is just how wide the reach of NS has become, even in just the...(shit) 6 years since I joined. Back then i don't think anyone imagined NS would become one of the real big driving forces in the sport.

Yeah this is why I love skiing. It's nice to be a part of the sport and be able to talk with pros and companies and be a part of everything, as opposed to mos other sports

a comunity by skiiers, for skiiers. everyone is equal and you got a fair chance to get your name out there putting edits out on this site. before my dream was being a professional skiier, now my dream is to create super sick edits for you too enjoy, because the apriciation and stoke this site shows is worth more than money.

watch out for us next winter, i will do my best to bring the stoke to your screen.

man I have been following this sight and watching edits on here for a couple years and only just got an account...I think its super sick...I think that is what makes this sport different from all the others having everyone involved in the sport from the pros, companies n sponsors, beginners and just the regular guy all in one spot ..its sick and I get so many lol's at work everyday

i dont know if i like it before i would go to store and pick out a jacket that fits looks ok. now after joining i considering how my jacket will go with my helmet pants boots and skis and not to mention the jacket is no longer getting picked up in store its a pre ordered off xxxxxxxxxxxxxxl saga jacket. anyone else notice how much more newschoolers make you aware of trends in skiing and how much more you care about looking good while skiing. its kinda annoying but other than that i guess its ok

i wouldnt say that full tilt is necessarily a trend, more a technological advance in our sport that dates back 30 years, that many people are taking advantage of (maybe the colors/styling they use)


but the rest, is one big trend.




but I agree, a few years ago NS used to have less idiotic, preteen, close minded kids. but its still funny. and if any of you get the chance to meet Doug he's the man, and loves to party, and loves NS

Skiing is a lot about trends because it's one of the only sports out there where you can really express yourself, and that means everything from style and tricks to outerwear. Trends become trends because people like them, then show them to others, who also like them, and not as you are assuming a bandwagon type thing. So just cuz we like similar things doesn't mean we're all trendwhores. And there's a lot of people on here who buck the trend, though they might not make a big deal about it.
