i don't know if anyone else can confirm but word on the street is that Nike are looking to kick off the new snow line with ski boots, prototypes are already out for testing to some of the athletes

No need to get all worked up bro. But you got a lot to learn. When big players like Nike arrive on the scene, they take money away from the core companies who actually give a shit about the sport. It won't be so funny in 5 years time if there's no Armada, no Line, no Full Tilt because some executive tosser's just bought his second Lamborghini. If you wanna wear your Adidas goggles and look steezy at the carve skiers table, nobody's stopping you...  Big up to the REAL freeski companies for making freeskiing what it is today.

Aha, Armada has become the "Burton of skiing" so to speak.
And if Line stayed "core", they'd still be making snowblades.

Nobody is taking money away from anyone.
If anything, Nike is putting money into the sport and giving the sport a different public image.
Just look at the Chosen contest.

Nike will always be Nike. They have done nothing wrong in the sport and they are supporting some of the best skiers out there. Not to mention they're snowboard boots fucking rock and they do have a lot of core riders riding for them.

my friend works at nike and he was able to try on the new boots. he said that they were so fast and easy to get into. and not to mention how comfortable they were.

So you're saying full tilts suck? Full tilts are simple, quick, easy, warm, and comfortable and I can lay down either a high performance carved race turn or a slow 40 foot blunt 3 in them. Just because a boot does not fit the traditional mold of being stuff and uncomfortable and annoying, doesn't mean it's bad. I am personally excited to see what Nike brings to the table, even if I may never purchase a ski boot from the

no man i saw jossi wearing them at keystone. i overheard him talking about how they will have heaters installed in the boots that stay out of view. and they have a boa lace up system. You tighten the liner with the boa then tighten your shell. pretty snug and comfy

you probably have hotdoggers with about a roughly 70-80 flex, no they are not a high performance boot.

this post is the epitome of making an ass out of yourself when you assume.

I raced all throughout highschool and was a top 3 varsity seed each of my 4 years on the team. My dad raced professionally for 8 years when he was in his 20s and was a Volkl ski technician for the Women's US Ski Team for a few years afterwards. He is an Atomic ski rep and had me in a race course before my 10th birthday. I've owned more pairs of Atomic race boots in my life than I have Nike dunks, and yes I agree that a Full Tilt is inferior, but it's entirely possible to put down a competitive time in an average GS or Slalom course while wearing them, assuming your skis are tuned well and you know how to put the boots on properly. The boot is not high performance, but that does not mean that you cannot ski at a high performance level while using it.

And I have Booters, with a replacement 10 flex tongue which can be compared to a 110-120 as far as I can tell

did i say that full tilts suck anywhere? I ride dalbellos and they work pretty well for me.

All im saying is that comfort while trying boots on doesn't mean shit, as properly fitting boots usually aren't too comfortable until the liners pack out a bit. This leads me to believe that said boots are either too big, or too wide for that guy above us. That or the boots have a shit load of padding for comfort (like spks) and are terrible unless you have an abnormally wide foot.

Armada is not some small "core" company, keep believing that sucker. You're just another wallet buying in to a manufactured image. An image based on ski's made by one of the largest ski companies around, and chinese made outerwear. Pretty core.

Line is owned by K2...pressed in china...Pretty core.

As for supporting small companies. I have spent close to 4k in the last 2 years on ski's handmade in the USA. By skiers.

Yes, just like you say, I support SKIING companies run by skiers for skiers - I don't give a shit whether they're big, small, made in USA, or made in China. All I care is that they're true to their roots.

Nike just want's in on everyone else's hard work, to rape a dope industry. They're nothing more than a generalized sports company - not a skiing/snow/newschool anything co.

however you might be a little high on the FT 10 flex rating, i would compare it more to a 100, but it is a progressive flex so that changes things also. I have my kryptons at what dalbello says is a 125 flex, but it is nowhere near that at the start of the flex.
