YoungDaphYou ever rigged for a splice? It fucking blows. And then you get to spend a couple days twisting and untwisting the haul rope with a big ass crank that takes multiple people to turn. There's nothing fun about splices unless you enjoy copious amounts of heavy lifting

Couldnt get eligability for unemployment in montana but go eligability for unemployment in utah which sucks cause they make it a bitch to file. Will be getting more cash from utah then maine though.

Yea theres like three people in the entire us certified to do the actual splice. Fucking wild. Norm gets here this week and will be around for a couple weeks to splice lewis and clark, six shooter and white otter along with rope inspections on everything else that isnt running for summertime. He'll be back in october to splice swifty
On the topic of my homeland, our healthcare system is driving me fucking nuts. I had this little cyst that formed up after I had cut myself on my temple slightly less than a year ago. Had it looked at not long after by my GP, was determined to be benign, and I got setup with an appointment for a dermatologist to look at it to figure out a removal procedure. They've pushed that appointment back a few times now, and I got another letter today delaying it again...
I know it's a benign cyst, and other people have more important issues, but it's grown over this time period from a little cyst to a decently sized one, and that hasn't changed the situation at all. It's a bummer because I've seen a few people that I haven't seen in awhile, they're freaking out because they think I've got a brain or skin cancer tumour. Always an awkward conversation starter with people I haven't seen in awhile.
Private health care would be nice right now, because a nice sum of money would have had this fixed months ago, and I could go back to being a normal me.

So you are one of those insurance fraud detectors? Is that really as wide-spread as they say it is?

I work a lot of different cases, but a lot of the time I am investigating or writing reports on disability fraud cases.
It's really not as wide spread as they say it is, it's just companies are dumb enough to spend money on it. A lot of the time. I'd say 95% of the time, what my company monitors as far as fraud cases ends up being legit.
In this case, the dude has been getting away with highway robbery as far as his disability claims - basically that he received nerve damage and loss of feeling in his left leg as result of an unspecified on-site accident. He has a history of making claims (this is his 3rd workers-compensation claim in the last 4 years) so it automatically was flagged by his company and the state.
He's been mostly inactive for the last 2 weeks, but he got his first disability cheque on Tuesday and ever since has been out and about on shopping sprees and stuff. He goes out every friday to the same bar with friends, and tonight it looks like he had enough to drink to 'dull' those already 'dull' nerves in his leg.
It's rare that a disability claimant ends up having an exciting case. I'd much rather look into loss protection cases or the rare episode of 'Cheaters' I get to film.

I know the other guy who is certified tim lecours. He was here a few years back to do some lift work with bryan stack. Im gonna see if i can get a hold of the lift maintinance manager and see if i can get some work.

Ive been working as a lift operator for 4 years and helping out lift maintinance operating lifts for them. I know how lifts work but havent done anything like rebuild a grip or changed out a sheave wheel before. Primaraly looking to get hired on as muscle and a be a extra hand at first. I have climbed lift towers before to replace singage. Ill stop by monday morning.
