soooo my works gonna start snubbing us new employees after labor day (cuz we're just down to weekends now) of hours, and give more to the ones with longer tenure. america's workplaces can royally suck a dick with this seniority bullshit.
God it's so fucking weird when I meet a "California Okie". It's like Woody Harrelson boned a valley girl and the child kept both accents.
(there's a part of Southern California that speaks with a Texas/Oklahoma accent because their grandparents all moved from there during the dustbowl or Oil Rush, and they live out in BFE areas around Bakersfield, so they don't get much linguistic influence from the bigger cities. Some of them are all inbred and homeschooled (or at least generalized as such) - therefore, we call them 'California Okies')

..but seriously. Is there a part of any of your guys' states where there's a large section of the population who sounds like they just up and arrived from Arkansas? (unless of course, you're the rare NSer from the south..)

ya, utah has plenty of small rural towns, like the single intersection ones that are filled with farmers, country folks. they have a weird accent, though. like a blend of midwest and southern. they pronounce some words really strange.

I'm Montana, we have natives that have a very distinctive accent.

Also got a new haircut, strange things haircuts, the day before the appointment my hair always decides to look super good, making me not wanting to go, then when I do go the haircut it ends up even better for the day but the day after my hair decides to look like utter shit and I regret it.

Man I couldn't do that, my bookcase is perfectly arranged and anything that comes off it goes back in the exact place from whence it came. My friend's currently renting my room for summer and I'm dreading returning to find my esquire magazines no longer in date order and my Don Delillo's next to my Milan Kundera's.
