some times the decisions i make are quick and unplanned. but im pretty sure this quick and unplanned decision is a good one because im actually excited to take classes for the first time and know im going to do well because im interested in them.
I'm on an Island on the Swedish west coast. If you follow a straight line west, you might hit Scotland, if not, you'll hug Canada next. So as you can imagine, there is a lot of swell coming in from the stormy North Sea. But it never ever manages to reach the shoreline and create anything remotely close to a surf break. When it comes somewhat close, it just dies. It's incredibly weird.
Anyone who knows anything about this type of stuff?

Anways, took the set up apart, cuz it was way too fast before, cut down the top where you drop in at. It's 15 inches shorter now, and the slope is a lot less steep. I think this change is good..i'm just worried i might not have enough speed now..
In a really weird way, I kinda like quantum mechanics. I like how, flicking through my notes, at first I'll be really confused but then if I think about it for a bit I'll understand it. Then I turn the page and mindfuck again. Think about it, repeat.
That said, my exam is at 9am tomorrow and I can't fucking wait for it to be over. I want exams which only need at most one day of studying back, this one has consumed 15 hours a day for the last week and I'm still convinced I'm gonna fail.
Finally picked a job to take. It's the same place my dad works. We have a super rocky relationship. For all but the first four years of my life he lived on the opposite end of the country. Until he just moved back to MT that is. Not sure how it's going to go. Hopefully I didn't turn down the wrong jobs.

High tide/too much water? Flat ocean floor?
High tide generally makes the waves never break here in jersey where I surf, or they fall apart on the shore , unless it's big enough to not matter as much. And the rebound off the shore tends to mess with them as well, since we sometimes get a pretty steep slope at the beach. Maybe it's just weak wind swell and you need to wait on a storm?
I googled, and apparently there is surfing to be done there though. Enjoy the cold. Water's seventy something here. No 5mm suits for a while for me.

I loved quantum and want to go on to continue studying it. It's so damn cool when all the math works out. Chem majors had to take one grad level class, so that's what I took, after taking p chem 2, which did some quantum. They didn't offer the second follow up class to it in the spring, so I felt sort of cheated, but whatever.
Protip: when signing up for cable/internet. Call, ask alot of questions, sound really interested. Then say you're going to call other companies to ask their rates. Then tell them to call you back next week. When they call back a manager will call you with a "better offer". Then you drive the price down.
I mean if you like it go for it... I was born in the Bronx and moved upstate in grade school, I live an hour or so from there now. I visit every few months for a comedy show or a bike ride and it is a fun place. It is also super expensive and I could not imagine living there. I am so grateful my family moved upstate because there is so much to do! For me, I would feel trapped living in the city. Coming from Idaho it is going to be a drastic change! A lot of people love it, and lots of people hate it.
