theBearJewWe started by asking people if we could have them. They were very willing to just give them to us. Otherwise they just took em home and they sat there collecting dust. After we asked about 15 people and they all said we could, we just started grabbing em off the tops of lockers.
It was either we took them or the school did. So we did instead.
snobunnyMy work advertised an internal position-- I applied for it.
I am more than qualified for the position, and I was offered an interview..the phone call went like this:
"sorry for the late notice, but im calling to set up an interview for the ____ position-- does tomorrow (August 5th) work for you? That's when we're doing interviews."
No option was given for an alternate time and therefore I didn't ask.
I looked on the intervew panels calendar to see how many interviews they had for that day, and they had two. So I thought I was one of two candidates.
At the interview, I was told that they had additional interviews the following week (August 11th-15th), and then I'd hear back the week after (this week-- August 18th-22nd). I looked on their calendars and saw three additional interviews for the week of the 11th-15th-- so then figured I was one of five.
I haven't heard back yet this week, so I sent a follow-up email. Then, check their calendars again and see that there are still two more interviews scheduled for tomorrow. Now, it doesn't surprise me that they would interview 7 people, that's normal...but interviewing this far apart? Especially when I was told I'd hear back this week? I think its rude.
For one thing--how am i still a viable and relevant candidate when I interviewed 2.5 weeks ago and they do their interview evaluation? For another thing-- why wasn't I offered alternative times to interview? I was given basically 20 hours notice. And lastly-- its rude to keep the people who interviewed on the 5th waiting that long.
I'm a little bit resentful of the department now.

i went to the sunglass kiosk in the mall to get some $5 baller shades and the cologne coated arabian guy working at it told me that it will be hard for me to find face shields that actually fit my face cause of my narrow eyes. It reminded me of you. But i told him its ok because it just shows how I am a superior predator then most chumps.
but i shall be back in bozo soon. not this weekend, but maybe next. im due to get fucked up and embarrass myself around people my own age that arnt indians.
