Fuccckkk. Last run I went for switch tails 2 and didn't get my feet around. Left ski ejected and the inside of my knee hit the rail, and my right leg kinda went sideways to the right with the ski on, both knees hurt in the same spot but ones from hitting a rail and I think the other could be a.....hurt ligament, right around the mcl....
what's up with all these horseshit remakes of movies coming out? i dont get the appeal, its all cgi and computer animated bullshit. the actors are shit, the storylines are shit, the directors are shit. like make a movie like good will hunting or dead poets society. im sick of all this bland tastesless horsehit. right now there isn't a drop of originality in hollywood.

There's a similar setup at the hospital in my hometown (efficient place for a dangerous urban spot, right?). By mid winter the landing is a full on park jump landing from the loaders dumping the snow that accumulates on the top floor. My friends and I toyed with the idea for yearssss but never made it happen.

I dont want to be a downer but I was talking to a co-worker today and we started to talk about high school, and i told him like since i graduated like 7 of the kids i grew up with are dead, and he was like wtf where did you grow up in Syria? The guy asked if they died of natural causes natural causes, and i was like no about 5 kids i know died from oxy and the other two died while driving drunk after graduation. a couple of them died the night we grduated.

Holy shit man, thats so sad. I just graduated myself and everyone from my class was ok that night suprisingly. To People who haven’t had their grad night yet or anyone for that matter: Have a fucking blast but NEVER drink and drive. I’m an aspiring paramedic and hearing these stories always breaks my heart. Its one choice and it seems that people choose wrong so often on such a happy night in their life :(

It’s what early seasons all about and a lot my friends and people in general sometimes forget that and have a weird perception of where they are supposed to be with their skiing. I’m usually guilty of it too just not as much this season.
For myself I just keep my expectations low and work on fundamentals and beating the crap out of my legs so that by the time early January comes around and I can find my flow.
Also early season happens to be super fun since the stoke is high even if the snow is less than desirable. All about the mindset really.

so true. ive just found repetition and trying to ski consistently for a long period of time on groomers helps when it comes to blasting pow and hauling straight dick through chunder. not to mention there was a thread in ski gabber about laying down some sweet carves and had some rad edits and got me a bit insipired to really rail turns more and more.

I ski with some friends who just drink and vape now and every time there's a person with something weed related on they do like "dude weed" jokes and shit. So annoying, ones a cop I guess and said "I'll grab my badge and arrest him" when there was snowboarder asking us to move with a weed hoodie on.
my shitty 70 dollar black diamond mitts outlived my 200 hestra mitts. I even put leather balm on them all the time + air dried, all the proper TLC, barely 2 seasons with them is unacceptable.

Well the doc looked at my knee for hardly any time and seemed to just say to ice it, rest a bit and she prescribed some pain killer... said not to ski for 2 days so idk if she has a clue what she's talking about.
primary care doctors are complete scumbags. i dont think ppl realize the sneaky shit they do with insurance companies in regards to overbilling them, and racking up fake charges. so im trying to set up to see an appointment with a new PCP and the receptionist says that i need to first do a 30 minute "meet and greet appointment", which she said that none of the medical conditions that i want to come in for will be assessed, then on that same day i need to return 2 hours later to see the same doctor to have a "first visit" and get my medical conditions looked at, then if i want to get any lab work ill have to book another appointment as the doctor can only address a "few" medical conditions during one appointment? talk about a load of bullshit. i booked the appointments yesterday, but then i thought about it and saw that this asshole was trying to book me in for multiple appointments to rack up charges on my health insurance for medically unnecessary appointments. i called the office today to call the doctor out on his bullshit and trying to scam my health insurance company, and his receptionist said "why do you care, its not coming out of your pocket?"

You really really need a new PCP. Why would you even contemplate being seen by somebody who does this

Tbh I'm jealous you can schedule an appointment with a new Pcp one day in advance. I had to wait 1-2 months to get in with mine. Follow-up appointments seem to be around a month wait as well.
