MinggTook my doggie to the vet and while we were in the waiting room I watched someone walk out with just their leash and collar but no pet and it was the saddest ):

i was like 6 or 7 and the only time ive ever seen my dad cry was when we put down our first sheep dog after she got hit by a car. shits hard to deal with, man.

we still have the collars from our first family dogs in a little decorative box on shelf in my parents living room. theres also a copy of that rainbow bridge poem that was given to us by a vet. i always tear up when i read it, idk why.

losing relatives is hard, and the week of my grandpa dying and not being able to fly back with my mom and sisters to be by his side was one of the hardest things ever, but losing pets can be as bad too, man. There always there for you when people arent and life fucks you over and its like a piece of yourself being lost. Shit sucks.

I feel that. I’ve been hitting 60+ hours of work per week and am also in 17 credits of all upper division / capstone classes. This semester might kill me.

Trueeeeeee. We put down my first dog when I was in 6th grade and then our last dog in July when I was out in Oregon pretty much out of the blue.

It sucked. I came home a couple weeks later to visit and it was the strangest/worst feeling when she didn't run to the door to say hi ):

Dope. Glad I played it pretty cool on my actual 21st birthday so I remember it. I went out to the brewpub with my parents and then a good friend (RIP Paul) gave me a bottle of crown and we had a couple. It was a school night lol.
That weekend and a lot of weekends + weekdays after that we returned to our 'freshman' form. Lots of great hazy memories and some scary ones like the time we got drugged at the bar. 21 is great man have a blast!

Been talking about it for 10 years, but finally gonna do it.

Called the local electrical union in Salt Lake City, and Im transferring my membership/apprenticeship out there from Atlanta.

This is literally a dream come true. Gonna be moving at the end of my lease in May.

Any suggestions on affordable apartments in Salt Lake? Areas to avoid?

It was whatever at first. Would save to hit Windells in winter, and then park city in the spring bec my grandfather had a condo there. Then random trips to the carolinas.

Then for like 5 years, NOTHING. Got to ski again last christmas when my immediate family moved out there, and it blew my mind. Ive literally spent the last year in a funk about still living in Atlanta, when I was always the one talking about moving. Finally looked at my gf and said fuck it, we are going to Utah ( took her out last 4th of July, and she fell in love with the west/mountains)

Just managed to order a sloshie (boozy slushie) at a bar in Jackson and didn't get I.D'd. I just turned 19. This is a huge turning point in my life lmao.

Skiing and spending time in the mountains is worth planning life around IMO. I mean why do we even work or do anything. When I'm in the mountains I have those moments where it all makes sense.

When I was 15 or 16 the endocrinologist said my bone growth was like a 12-14 year olds, people seem less surprised that I’m 20 these days. Idk if having long hair helps or not.

Sunk a few drinks at the Tram Club with some co-workers. Despite the shit we all put up with, the bird is a tight fam and this a cool-ass funky establishment to enjoy some cold ones at. $5 shot and a beer is still the best on-mountain special ive come across, so I enjoyed it.


Will be my go-to apres ski venue during the season. They got Uinta 801 Pilsner on tap which is my favorite beer ever so im hooked. Its got such a cool-ass old school ski bar vibe to it, you just know there was wild shit that went down decades prior.

Man id kill to experiece the extreme skiing days of the 80s with cocaine and booze and freaks everywhere.
