Titus69Holy fuck I miss playing soccer, considering doing night leagues but it just would never compare to high school. Partially because the team chemistry the past few years has been on point but mostly because there wouldn't be babes from school in the bleachers... Gotta stay fit somehow though

Titus69I just wish I took it more seriously in high school, I could've been on varsity from sophomore year and out, made it senior year because the school has to but I still started almost every game and played at least 55-80 minutes per match. The coach always knew I was good but I never showed a lot of effort, mostly cause I never did preseason shit.
Watched the varsity team play a bit earlier and i just wanted to run on the field and play again. Playing under the lights with the fan section booming with the homies and girls while usually winning most games was probably the best thing I've ever done at school. Haven't worn my cleats since my last game, which was in November

.lenconThis here is the biggest reason I love skiing, mountain biking, etc. Anything that really isn't a team sport. You can do it forever. Soccer, football, basketball, etc all end your senior year unless you're super good and go to college, but then it will end again unless you're super super good and go pro.
I see so many people ripping and smiling in there 60s,70s, and even some in their 80s..
But everything else just kinda ends.

foolmetwiceThats kinda what scares me, that I'm not ever going to get that feeling of a real competitive match where there are real consequences (ie state tournament or a game in a showcase tournament) again.

Theres so much freedom in skiing even if you race or compete. Like practicing skiing is still fun cause you're skiing. Theres no red shirt in college skiing, and even if there is you're still skiing even if you're not competing. Seriously skiing is the best ever.

Titus69Go to get oil changed, before I leave the guy asks if I go to a specific school from my old parking stickers on my windshield and asks if I heard about a party that was busted this summer. Explained how I left 15 minutes before the cops rolled in (I was a DD) and what it was like, usually the guy seems like a dick when I go there but it was funny to talk to him about it and explain what I heard went down when they rolled up. Long story short, kid had a grad party and his parents, who were far more than super nice that night let him invite literally anyone and everyone, 50 kids in a small backyard with music booming wasnt smart, especially when they live not even 2 minutes away from the police station. Thank fuck I decided not to drink that night.

DeebieSkeebiesi did a mock budget a few months ago and with my job over the winter, its very manageable sharing a place with people. would still have some cash for groceries, a car payment (been looking at a new 4runner or Tacoma/Colorado), rent, and some misc for spending. cutting it close but not life or death if i go a bit over which is nice.
no shame though, literally all my best friends/skiing buddies still kick it at their parents lol.

I woke up without a voice yesterday out of the blue and then this morning I couldn't breathe outta my nose and had that feelig in my face/head that I usually get when I'm sick. Hopefully it clears up soon!
