School me in backpacks.

I'm looking for one pack to do it all. I need this for school/skiing/traveling/whatever.

Things it needs:
laptop sleeve
ski carry, vertical or diagonal
vertical snowboard/skateboard straps
room for avy gear, shovel/probe/etc
at least 15L+

A goggle pocket and a water bladder sleeve that goes into a strap would be nice also, but not needed.

Oh yea under $75ish too.

Any suggestions?

Dakine Heli Pro 2 DLX is what I am using this year. I bought it on sale for $60 but its no longer on sale. Lowest I found was 80.

i scored a green heli pro dlx for $30 brand new on ebay this past winter. you can find them cheep if you put in a little time searching

Take out the 2 of my sentence. Dont know why that was in there. You can find them cheaply if you use google well.

I think evo and backcountry and department of goods have heli pros a good prices.

i'm sure theres other good bags too.

if you want a bag for backcountry day trips and stuff i'd want something bigger than the heli pro, i have the dakine blade which is really nice

Honestly get 2 different backpacks, I hate taking out my school stuff to put in my skiing stuff. Also if you forget to take out your damp skiing stuff it smells up your backpack.

the dakine poacher pack is pretty dope. I have the one from like 09 or 08 and it works great. It's pretty big, but you can cinch it down if you don't have that much stuff in it.

My experience is that dedicated outdoors packs work for school, but school bags flat out suck for outdoors stuff. If it's got a laptop sleeve, it's probably not going to cut it for skiing.

Don't skimp on a bag. Pony up initially, and it will serve you well for a long time.

I've got an old Black Diamond Covert Avalung that's been beaten as hard as I can year round for four years straight. Heavy loads, stuffed full, dragged over rocks, it's been the best pack I've ever had. Probably one of my favorite pieces of outdoor gear. The main zipper just blew out, so I'm going to put in a new one soon.

Osprey, Gregory, Black Diamond, Arcteryx, REI, the list goes on. Check out Mystery Ranch if you're looking for something produced in the US.
