Good lobster claw style gloves

My hands are always cold and I've always been using 5 finger gloves. So I want to try lobster style ones. Anybody have any good suggestions? Obviously hestras are probably good but maybe a little cheaper. I'm in NJ, so it's cold, especially at night. ANd another thing it's wet, these definitely need to be waterproof so I'd like to stay away from full leather gloves since although they do repel water, there's the possibility for them to absorb eventually. And warmth would be nice, if I get hot in the late season or whatever I just slide them off for a bit.

I guess mittens aren't out of the question either but I'd prefer the 3 finger gloves.

I personally think that hestras are worth the extra money but there are soem other choices to get you started

Oh, +K to you both. I was looking at one of those pairs of hestras, I'll try and find all of that stuff in outlets or on sale or something.

Level has a trigger verson of the Rexford glove/mitt, those things are super nice.

hestras=the tits
warm and durable as hell, definitely get what you pay for. if you can somehow find a pair on sale, snatch them up

i would really suggest the hestra seth morrison pro. i bought a pair a few seasons ago for the same reason that my hands were so damn cold in the 50 dollar gloves i was buying. they keep me the warmest out of anything i have ever worn. and are holding up extremely well to use

I saw a ton of kids with thinner mittens last year that were dope. Mostly snowboarders. Would love to find them for next season.

Thats what i kept doing, switching between 50 dolar gloves when mine went bad.

I was looking at the seth gloves and a couple other ones like the vertical cut freeride and a heli pro I think (which I don't see on the site). Main thing was I didn't want leather, or at least a lot of it since when it snows ere My stuff gets soaked. I stay dry from my jacket and snowpants but my hands usually got wet. I tried on some seths and freerides and they felt great, I think the freerides would be a bit warmer though. But they're all leather.

Is spraying waterproofer on a leather glove a bad idea? I feel like it is for some reason.

I own a pair of the vertical cut freeride and my brother has a pair of seths and you are right the vertical cut freeride are warmer by quite a bit. I have bad circulation and always have cold hands and feet but with these gloves my hands have never been bone chilling cold. I also have never had any trouble with waterproofing and my hands have stayed dry when skiing in the rain. Hope that helped

there is some stuff that comes with them to treat the leather which also waterproofs them. as long as you take care of them and recoat them occasionally then you will be golden. my hands always stay dry

i have the seth crab claws.and i fucking love them. so warm, and so dry, especially with the leather balm hestra gives you, amazing durability, full warranty and they never get wet (that being said, i have only had them for a season, but it was a very long, wet and harsh season.) these gloves are 100% worth the price you pay, and will last you years on end.
