my neighbour has one of those, they're pretty crazy. he brought it home one day anxious to try it out so we go out into the backyard and he blasts a hole through the wooden fence which was behind a chainlink fence. it was like 50ft to the fence too. they're powerful.
his looked more like a bazooka tho

yeah its a grill ignitor button that runs to a spark plug that is in the side of the chamber. All you have to do is press the button and BOOOOM

I made it a few years ago but I found it in my basement last week and painted it and got it working so idk exact costs for the parts

grill starter $3

spark plug $3

spray paint $5

all the pvc $30

the black handle is from a tape roller and I had the metal straps

haha my dad and I legit made it with no plans. We knew what we wanted it to look like and how they worked so we went from there. There are a bunch of plans on teh interweb

potato cannons are the shit!
last summer i made a potato mortar with a big pvc tube and my 200bar diving tank :) it worked like magic and could easily launch a potato over 70m :)
