For a more interesting and discrete way of asking her out other than "wanna hang out sometime?" or something, I'm going to need to know what kinda coffee shop this is. Like do you sit at a bar and the barista gives you the coffee, or is it a takeout situation, or do you sit down at a little table or in comfy chairs?

here's my only idea...

ask her for a pen..

write down my number on a piece of paper in front of her,
hand her back the pen and number,

and be like, "since i'm new to the area, if you're interested, i'd be down to grab dinner with you, let me know"

Do you leave the dishes where you were sitting or bring them back to the counter when you are done?
In any case, order your coffee and ask her for a piece of paper. Go sit down, and write your name and number on the piece of paper with a cute note. Drink your coffee and do your thing, then either leave the mug there with the piece of paper under it, or bring your mug to the counter and leave the paper under it there.

So ask for a piece of paper and pen and write a note and leave it on the counter as you leave and give back the pen. Don't say anything that you quoted in your idea... The whole "if you're interested" and "I'm new to the area" makes you seem uncertain of yourself. Just leave the piece of paper and be smooth haha.

just ask her. my metal tech teacher is one of the ugliest people i've ever seen, but he went on dates with mad hot girls through high school and college, and his wife is a real banger too. his advice to me was as follows:

dress like a halfway decent person, take a shower, brush your teeth, and just ask her out. know what the worst thing she can say is? "why the fuck would i ever go out with someone like you?" which really isn't that bad. there's like six billion people out there man, chances are high that someone you find attractive will find you attractive as well.

oh and be confidant. bitches love confidence.

no dude, find something. study her. figure out where she's from, what she likes. go with that. 'oh wow i happened to notice you reading _______' and go with that. girls like to see that a guy is non threatening and straight up nice to them. that'll get you a number and some future contact.

As I was leaving with my stuff, i stopped and asked for a pen.

She grabbed me one, and i said, "thanks" and smiled. I wrote dont my number and name on a small piece of paper.

as i handed her the pen back, i gave her the piece of paper, and said, "Hey, i think you're pretty cool, and if you're interested, i'd like to hang out sometime"

she looked at the piece of paper, and ask, "can i text you?" i of course said yes.

customers came in, so i said, "alright, have a nice night"


she hasnt sent me anything yet. i deff coulda done better then "...i'd like to hang out sometime". oh well. we'll see what happens.... they just closed at 9 30..
