No, this is the dumbest Colorado law:
It is illegal to ride a bicycle on the sidewalk in Colorado. So that's probably not a bad thing, but you can drive one of these on the sidewalk at 65 MPH and there is no law prohibiting it.
I bike my kids to school every day, and I don't ride on the sidewalk as a rule, but there are a few places where the only way you can get to a safe place to cross a major street is to ride on the sidewalk. 2 years ago I was doing our normal route which goes in front of this gated community. They have maintenance people who drive around in these mega golf cart/pick-up truck things. The maintenance guy comes flying around a corner, on the sidewalk, talking to his buddy in the passenger seat. He wasn't looking ahead of him at all and he ran over me folding me and my bike in half.
I thought my leg was broken and had to get Xrayed, and I was trying to get their insurance to cover it. I was just trying to get them to wise up before they ran over and killed a pedestrian, and I wanted them to pay to get my bike fixed. This is how I learned about the law. Even though I had almost come to a complete stop and he ran over me, the fact that I was on the sidewalk on a bike made me at fault. The law does not prohibit driving non licensed motorized vehicles on the sidewalk. So basically you could be hauling ass in a go cart, golf cart or scooter and the cops can't write you a ticket, but they can if you are riding a bike.
