Well as a Russian Skier I cant not help,  there is a bit of help here:

It pretty much lists the majority of the ski resorts around Russia but you do need to decipher some bad English. The heli-ski in Kamchatka is absolutely amazing and cheap, the terrain is superb. Anyways whoever needs more information on Russian resorts let me know. Just send me a msg Ill be glad to reply.

I once played these russian kids at the bell cup some years back, and when we beat them they erupted in tears. And i thought russians were supposed to be tough...

^and a green name is an admin on the site who cleans up the forums (deleting bad stuff, banning people, etc.) go to the site discussion forum first and read the basics threads to learn about ns before posting in here

I know there is skiing in the Caucuses (with soviet choppers to boot) and a ski area on Mt Elbrus (not unlike Hood).

i would argue its the gnarliest terrain with easiest access in the world.

theres also the heli skiing in far eastern russia, like across from alaska...what Palin sees every morning from her kitchen window

there are tons of russian pros, you just never hear about them because their careers are so short-- pushing the sport after downing a few liters of vodka for breakfast is sort of asking for trouble. most of em last about a season or so
