Just a heads up, it looks like you don't have the metal connector bar on the labs in the picture. That metal connecting bar is 100% necessary for the use of those bindings. You can't properly set the forward pressure without it.

I believe the 916 was made in two versions, one with a connector bar and one without. The one with the connector bar was the zz version or something like that. Either way, I was sold those by a very reputable seller and I doubt he would sell me nonfunctioning bindings.

My mistake most likely. The ZZ requires the metal bar; you should be all set if they're just normal labs. I would double check just in case though.

In that picture, the extended plastic part under the stomp pad of the brake is part of the connection piece. I think that those bindings do require the connector. You can also tell if your 916s require the connector by looking at the bottom plastic of the toe, under the afd. If there is a rectangular slot cut out from the bottom of of the binding, that is made specifically for the connector.

Symmetrical ski -> Ski center.

From the looks of it, his boots are smaller than say mine, which can be seen in comparison to my FRs at the top of the page.

Yeah, I am pretty sure its just the angle that's messing with you ^^

As you can see there is only one break on the right ski, which does not work, should I use a small rope or something?

dude how they ride?

i found them on sale for 299 brand new, im so stoked. I was afraid they were going to be soft chargers like my obsetheds, and that they would overlap. but theyre perfectly stiff underfoot and there is alot less rocker and a lot more camber length... it will defnately be more of an everyday ski than your average fat ski.

yeah thats what im using them for, i got them for free from a friend of my dads so they came in 177's so theyre not as long as most of my skis but i used them while i was in chile and i love them, they float pretty well but handle very well on hardpack which i like, the shorter size makes em pretty buttery for me but i had no flexing out problems so they dont flex too much, and i have jj's so i was worried about the overlap too but there seems to not be too much overlap

basically theyre a great ski and you are definitely going to have a lot of fun on em

Any picture of mounted skis will always look like they're mounted a bit further back than they actually are, because the heel piece of 99% of all bindings (except maybe tech bindings) is significantly longer than the toe piece, so the amount of ski behind the heel is less than the amount of ski in front of the toe. To accurately asess the mount, look at the back of the toe piece and the front of the heel piece, where your boots would click in and the illusion kinda goes away.

New life with rossi axial 2 140 mounted @ center

Obsethed with salomon sth 14 driver mounter at traditional.i think its - 7 cm, back from core center.

The tech told me to not to wax the ski before i ride it. he said the layer of wax that's already on it from the factory, is one of the best waxes and using that wax up is one of his favorite parts of new skis? I have never heard this. i knew they were waxed but i feel i should wax again? thoughts?

Decided to #yolo out and go down to 2 pairs. Retiring the cryps and selling the jesters (urban / early/late jams if I cant sell the bindings), and selling the one lifes. Stoked to only have 2 skis now haha, S3 will be my daily driver (park park park and pow) and the lizzies, as always, will be broken out for the super fun days. Stoked to try the S3's.

Am I the only person slightly confused by people who have FKS180 on 1 pair of skis and Griffons on the other? Assuming you use the same DIN on both bindings, the Griffons are probably almost maxed and the FKS almost min'd? Just saying...

I'm thinking this year it will be something like this:

Rossi Scratch for Pipe
Rossi Scimitar for Park/All Mountain
Rossi Sickle for Pow/All Mountain
All with FKS 140s

10-11 Armada Alpha 1 w/ Griffons for Urban/Rock/Fuck-around skis.

Well I have griffons and fks 14's. I got my lizzies 4 years ago, didn't really need any moire than a 12 din. But I do know kids who have fks 18's and jester pros that ride them at the minimum. So dumb.

Yea stoked on the S3's. I just put the heels in rit dye. Worked like a charm, cept the first one came out super dark and you can't really see the din numbers anymore.

I dont really see why that is a problem. Its only a few more bucks and its same setting but a better binding.
You could say the same that buying a twelve din is stupid because you wont use any of the dins under 8 anyway.

I myself fucking hate the px toe. So so so much

So from now on I'm only getting 18s(because they dont make 155s anymore dammit) and i ride a din 9.5-11. Its still the same release value but a much better toe.

That is true, but I know kids who buy them just because "they look cool." I know a kid who can barely ski that got jester pros.

Holy overlap.

Scratch, Sickle, Squad 7 would make more sense. Either way all three are awesome, I feel like Scimitar's will be my next park skis, going on the third year on my s4's though and they are still pretty minty.
