Replying to i got my first ticket, kinda

well i was driven around with my two friends casue we were bored at like 1130 til 1230. my mom is at my grandmas and my dad was sleepin so i took the car.i do have my license but only my jr one. so after 1230 i drop em off and im driven home and on my home road and the cop pulles me over. he says my high and low beams are out. so hes looken my license over and hes like you shouldnt be driven out this late so i tell him i was taken a drunk friend home. hes like i love honesty. he goes and rights the ticket and says i have to aug 3rd to get it fixed. and im off. he didnt right down anything about the being out passed 9 deal. but the time is written down. so am i off the hook as far as driven passed 9 or what? csaue otherwise i will have to tell my parents about the fine and shit.
