i need new skis and most people have said that they ski great, with terrible durability. but my question is that considering im only 115 pounds, i feel like i would have trouble with durability because i dont have alot of force. can someone help me out here? +k for help
a kid i know is like the same height/weight as you and he destoryed them. 3 pairs. not really an aggresive skier either. i would check out another ski if you have the option to.
i do not have these skis and cant really say much about them but from what i have heard they have terrible durability, and if i were you i just wouldnt chance it skis are alot of money and especially if there your only pair or one of your only pairs i wouldnt do it
I weigh 120 and i have no problem with the ski, BUT it chipped like crazy in a week and the edges are fucked (multiple cracks, etc), dont get them, get line, armada, moment, rossi, ect...
dude they are so durable. constructed with pressed high density cardboard, elmers 1 part epoxy glue, and spaghetti edges, you'll never have to buy another park ski in your life!
I don't understand Salomon. They have some of the best skiers with THE best exposure in the world. Simon Dumont, Dane Tudor, Sammy Carlson and Bobby Brown. You'd think that they'd be working desperately on fixing up their durability problems but season upon season we hear about suspects falling to pieces. Its the worst publicity possible for a ski company and it just really surprises me that they're happy to let it go. Does anyone else have some insight on this???
The reason suspects suck is because the wood core rots really quickly. It does not really matter how much you weight they will break eventually. A friend of mine broke his in three months but I broke mine after three years (they broke three times in a row though after that.) I'm not getting any more salomon skis because most of their cores seem to rot rather quickly.
