Will the police notify my school?

Last night I had two guys over to watch the March Madness basketball championship. My parents are out of town so I was staying there alone for that night. I just wanted to watch the game then the guys would leave but all a sudden these two girls I know came to my house and I didn't wanna be bogus so I let them in. They were slapped and it got late and one of the girls didnt wanna go home so she didn't tell her dad where she was. I told her to leave my house because she would cause trouble for me and get her dad or the police to come to my house. She wouldn't do anything. 20 minutes later her dads at my door banging and the girl STILL won't leave. I told her to get the fuck out of my house or I was gonna make her dad come in and get her. She didn't go so I opened the door and said can you get your daughter out of my house she brought beer and wine to my house and is disrupting our entire night and he says " no we'll wait for the cops to get here." I was trying to help him out who was searching for his daughter and he straighted snaked me out. Then when the cops came, everybody there who was drunk got off except for me when I didn't blaze or drink AT ALL. And i was trying to get these fuckers out of my house. So i got arrested and charged with underage drinking but the main question I have is can the police notify my school about this? because they have a policy for sports that if you get caught at a party you have to sit out for 5 games and I can't sit out for 5 games of baseball

yea they probably will...most schools have policies that make even being present at the party count as drinking, whether you have or not.



Sounds like bullshit though, i would've tried to get some trespassing charges going for the girl who refused to leave, even though you of course don't own the house.

Go to court share your side of the story the girls will deny. You should have made them give you a blow test so that they had proof you did not drink and if you don't smoke get a voluntary drug test. Tell your parents what happend also use this line "I simply let them in because they were intoxicated and I didn't want them driving or making stupid decisions since there was a bit of traffic that night. You were just trying to help"

I know it was just people chilling with weird ass people causing trouble. But on the write up for the records it just says charged with holding an underage drinking party so that sounds a lot worse then actually what it was which was 2 other guys chilling with me and crazy girls coming

You should have called the cops as soon as they wouldn't leave, and definitely not let the dad in the house. There's not really much you can do now.

I agree. Write out a journal of events. show it to the cops and to the school, also get signatures on it to anyone that was there that agrees with you.

I am considering telling my coach and asking what I should do because I wasn't drinking at all. But I don't know if this makes a difference but the policeman knew that I was stuck in a shit situation and he decided to give me a city charge instead of a state one so all he said was that makes it not go on my record and all i have to do is pay a fine but i still think they'll notify the school

ehhh. idk about your policy, but when i was in highschool anything drinking related in season was off the team, and off season meant you missed 1/3 of the season.

and go to court and fight ur side, it seems really easy to win considering you were not intoxicated in any way. and have an excuse for everyone there.

definitely tell your coach first. idk where u go to school but where i went to high school sports were really big and all the coaches had a lot of pull with the administration. he's the only one who will be able to help you out with the school especially if you didn't do anything

Ok, this is what WILL happen.  School will be notified and unless your coach has a lot of pull with the administration, you will sit out those games.  Schools don't care what you did or did not do, if you got a citation, you get your athletic suspension.  You could go against the board but I doubt that helps.  Then, you will go to court, unless you have a absurd judge he will realize this is ridiculous and drop it.  I would have tried to press charges on the girl AND the father.  Trespassing and what not.  But lets face it, cop will never listen to you when there is a drunk girl and her father.

i got charged for possession of alcohol under 19 over march break and to my knowledge my school has no idea of it, the cops didnt say anything to my parents either

thus you never would have gotten in trouble.
