Contour hd as good as gopro?

the contour GPS looks quite cool but think overall the gopro is slightly better quality and it has a wider angle of view.

i would have made the countour an option if the waterproof case, mounts, and other things weren't extra..

It all depends what your using either one for.. My experience with the GoPros is that they have almost a glitchy or jumpy look to the clips, the Contour does not do this but if the Contour picks up some reflection it seems to make a brownish vertical line through the clips. It's all what you proffer.

dont use the helmet gopro mount in trees. it mught fall off

Yeah I realize that.. But for someone debating on which one to get I would pick the contour because with low ram it still has ok quality.. Just my opinion though, wether or not I'm right at all..

i have used both my friend has a go pro and i have a contour. i actually prefer the contour other than having to buy a case for it to be waterproof. i just didn't like the go pro

I haven't used the Contour HD at all, but i have the GoPro HD Hero and it is AWESOME! It's worth the money, super durable. The only issue I have had with it is the adhesive clips coming off once. But that was after eating shit on a jump (i shouldn't have been wearing the GoPro when I was trying to throw down new tricks)

thread has been posted 10000 times, there is no clear cut better camera. look at the features of each and make a choice based on how you want to use it.

haha right guy, i just prefer cameras that dont pick up wind noise like its their job and have extremely shakey footage
