Bumping threads

I've noticed lately that a lot of noobs keep bumping threads that are already at the top. I can see if it was from the second page but still, its a useless post. I think that Their should be a button next to your FS thread and click it to bump it. No posting needed. Would save time, threads wouldn't be so long, and just in general, better. Also have the option to edit the thread if an item is sold.

What do you guys think?

I had another thing but I forgot it.

Remembered. 3 bumps per day allowed. Some people bump their threads when its half way down the first page.

Yeah, that seems like a solid idea. it would also help people bumping for free karma, and post count.

And the option to edit may or may not get through beacause i know mods in the past have vetoed the idea of deleteing threads and such but maybe editing is different?

Or if red names actually did something besides tiny updates here and there. I'm not saying the're lazy, or useless, it's just nothing major has been done for some time it seems.

Nah, 3 bumps per day is good. 1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon and 1 at night.

also giving karma for bumps is retarded. people have totally abused the karma feature and it's not used the way it's intended

THIS! once a thread is created it maintains its place. Only a new thread would move it down a position.There are usually not more than a page of threads a day so a thread should be able to stay on the first page for a while.

This is why you suck kangbang, you have no logic or common sense. If threads were by date created your thread would be on first page for 3-5 days, 6-8 in the summer. There is usually 8-10 new FS threads a day, so if there are 40 threads per page your sale would be on the first page long enough for most people to see. This also makes it much easier to see the newest sales since you last logged on.

would it be too much to allow people the option to view threads from either most recently created or most recently posted, like you can do with your emails?
