You get a normal peircing, gauge 22, then you purchase tapers, to slowly stretch them out. You can purchase taper sets and directions

I love the way they look, nice wood ones or like turquoise/jade ones, but everyone has reasons. Why do tall-tees appeal to skiiers, when regular sized clothing works way better?

If you want a formulaic explanation for an aesthetic choice, you are going to be disappointed. For me, it isn't any different than somebody asking why I wore a red shirt today.

Ex: my ears are stretched because I felt like it. I don't need to justify my body to anyone. That probably makes me come across as an asshole, but tattoos and piercings to me are something I do just because I've wanted to for a couple years.

Yeah I'm not being critical I'm strictly just wondering what it is that makes people like them. For me I just find it strange to put a hole in a part of your body and stretch it out for no particular reason, but if you like it then sure go ahead.

I'm sure there's people who have a thought-out explanation for it, but I can't really think of a good reason my ears have 0g holes in them, I just like them. Kind of like how little kids like Apple Jacks, they just do.

nope dont do it, they look stupid 95% of the time. Ive even seen a girl's holes break and then her ear had two little flaps dangling at the bottom, it looked disgusting

You just really can't stretch too fast. Healing in between is important and if you try to push your ear too far you're prone to blowouts and that will fuck up your ears
