bump. pretty much in the same situation as the op. Have to read a book and write a 5-6 page paper on it ( how it was written, literary devices, elements of style to make the story effective, a hidden meaning, etc..) any suggestions would be nice prefer it to be from 100-200 pages and overall a decent book

Read a Vince Flynn book, they are super sick. Basically this assassin that works for the CIA, kills the shit out of terrorists. He is so badass, I can't put the book down.

Best book I've read in a while is "Path Between the Seas" on of the greatest stories ever, and its true. I've been a fiction reader all my life but this won me over. A real page turner.

A book worthy of a project, eh?

One of my favorite books is Jane Eyre. I just read Peter Pan; it is also worthy of a project.

The Green Mile, fantastic book but a little long if you're looking for an easy way out. Journey to the Center of the Earth, I haven't read any Franz Kafka or H.P. Lovecraft but I've heard they're good authors and I am going to pick up some of their books for the summer.

a lot of good books listed so far. i recommend fight club - really well written, short, and a cynical social commentary which is kinda funny somethimes.
