I do agree that it is the second most influencial book for Americans, after the Bible. In years past, Ayn Rand was much more in vogue than today, and millions read her works and tried to live up to the standards and ideals they found contained in her words. This spawned the Ayn Rand society, which is an interesting clash of ideals, but that is another issue entirely.
