Well every 4 month or so these threads comes along and I always fide them interesting – basically because how do we judge a good skier? What criteria(s) do we set; is the skiier innovative, is there a unique style, is there an impact on the industry, technicality, movie parts, competitions and so on.

If you just want the best skier right now and only base it on your ability to ski, then we should make a 3 part competition with a slope style comp, a race (like a FIS GS) and a big mountain comp.

Then someone like Jon, Windstedt, Candide, maybe Bode Miller might win.

If you want innovation, style and impact then it might be someone else.

What are we looking for in the best skier out there?

But I agree for the most part. A FWT season would be sick, but Tanner has his eyes on those golden Olympic O's, knee pain and all.

It was really good to hear him spew the real deal on his radio show the other night. I recommend THC for all.

There has never been anyone in skiing that could compete at the highest levels in freestyle/ride and racing until Jon and I doubt there ever will be again.  Best = Best all around IMO. 

I'm thinking Rowen was housed when he created this thread or he was baby sitting, left himself logged on and the kid jumped on his computer. :-D

i recon tanner should do an x box game...he is the only one in the industry who can do it i think. just like shaun white with snowboarding. he is such an influential star/icon of the skiing world. i would definatly buy the game.

I don't know, Candide kinda rips lines too...

I haven't thought about it to make a decision but it's close. I think Tanner still might take it with his park prowess to line ripping ratio.
